As of July 2026, I am back to consulting in the legal market, operating solo (DBA Ron Friedmann LLC). I advise law firms and legal departments about AI, KM, innovation, and process improvement. For legal tech vendors, I advise on strategy, positioning, and go to market.
I am a lawyer (NYU Law) by training and have over three decades of legal market experience across the corporate ecosystem: Big Law, corporate legal departments, alternative legal service providers (ALSP). legal outsourcing, and legal consulting.

I’ve been very active professionally. For example, I am a co-founder and co-organizer of SKILLS, https://skills.law/, and I founded and organize a group of DC-based AI, KM, and innovation professional in Big Law DC offices. I’m also a Distinguished Fellow of and former three-term Trustee of the College of Law Practice Management
Prior to entering the legal market, I worked as a strategy consultant at Bain & Company and as an economic and financial analyst for Data Resources, Inc. (a McGraw-Hill company).
